From time to time, Task information may need revising from when first delegated.
Delegatees may request revisions to be approved by the Delegator of a Task in order to ensure the Task information is accurate.
The most common revisions requested are Due Date and Estimated Time as these are the most vital parts of any Task.
As a Delegatee, you can request a revision to any field with the button next to it.
How to Request Revisions
Step 1: Navigate to the Task Information window of the Task you wish to request revisions for. For more information, please view the article “Managing Tasks”.
Step 2: Click the button next to the field which you want to revise.
Step 3: Enter the revised information and click the button.
Once you have requested the revision, the Task Status will move to .
How to Cancel Revision Requests
Step 1: Navigate to the Task Information window of the Task you wish to cancel revisions for. For more information, please view the article “Managing Tasks”.
Step 2: Click the button next to the revision request you want to cancel.
- The Delegator of a Task may edit almost any field of a Task by accessing the Task Information through their Team Docket.
- If you are approaching a Due Date that will not be met, talk to the Delegator first before sending a revision request so that they can help manage or prioritize your workload if necessary.
- If your Worked Time on a Task exceeds or is approaching the Estimated Time of a Task, talk to your Delegator about revising the Estimated Time before sending a revision request so that they are brought up-to-speed about the Task progress.
- The Estimated Time field is a great tool for you to check-in with the Client as well so that they are aware the Task is taking more time than initially quoted/contemplated.
